RISING FROM THE ASHES: ACTIVIST REFLECTS ON 9/11, WORKS TO SPREAD FREEDOM
This is my favorite, and best, article I've ever done. I did it with a girl from my school's broadcast team to create multimedia package over a 9/11 survivor. The package turned out amazing. It was the first article I had done over a more serious topic, and I'm very proud of how it turned out.
This article won many awards including: a national Best of SNO award, Honorable Mention for 2021 NSPA Story of the Year, and Superior News-Feature Story in 2021 TAJE Best of Texas.
Note: while the article is said to be by me and Sailor Jane Mackenzie, Sailor created the video package and the writing was completely done by me.

This was a really cool article to do because the interview was really emotional. The two women had a really great story of friendship and perseverance and I loved that I was able to share it.

Note: just like the 9/11 feature, this story was completely written by me, Christina and Abrianna did the video package embedded in the story.
'DEAR EVAN HANSEN' DIRECTOR ON MENTAL HEALTH, TALKS MOVIE'S MESSAGE TO TEENAGERS
This article came from an amazing opportunity presented to us by our school's broadcast director. Through his podcast, he had the opportunity to talk to a movie director and we were able to ask a question. It was really fun to do, and the article turned out great as well.
This article won a national Best of SNO award.
Note: I wrote this article with Gabriella, we wrote it together over Facetime, so it's equally both of our work.
VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL
This was a huge multimedia package I did with two other staff members where we featured eight staff members' love stories for Valentine's Day. It contained photo, video, writing, and design in the package (I go more into detail in this package in the Web and Social Media section). For the writing part, I did most of it, as I wrote the sections for every staff member except for Emily Allen.
The package as a whole came out amazing, but I'm really proud of the writing. Each of the eight staff members had their own main headline and feature lead, and I love the ones I came up with.
